King Charles and Queen Camilla stepped out for the first of several events honoring the late Queen Elizabeth.

On Monday, April 20, the King and Queen visited the new exhibition Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, which is being held at the King’s Gallery in Buckingham Palace.

Their walk through the exhibit included a stop at Queen Elizabeth's wedding dress and tiara from her 1947 nuptials to Prince Philip.

Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, which is on view until Oct. 18, is the largest-ever exhibit of the late Queen's fashion. It features over 300 items from her wardrobe, including pieces like her wedding dress, her coronation ensemble and a collection of rarely-seen tiaras. More than half of the exhibition pieces are on display for the first time.

“It is the most thorough examination of her clothing collection, which I hope will help visitors understand why fashion was so important in the Queen’s role,” Caroline de Guitaut, the curator of the exhibition, previously told PEOPLE.

After the centenary celebrations are over, King Charles and Queen Camilla will travel to the United States to attend a slate of events across Washington, D.C., New York City and Virginia. The trip is tied to the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence from the United Kingdom.
