Nicole Kidman was severely sick with the flu during her first day of filming Apple TV's Margo's Got Money Troubles.

Costar Nick Offerman recalled the actress looking "so pale, shaken" on set.

The Apple TV series, which Kidman is also an executive producer on, also stars Elle Fanning, Greg Kinnear, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Not even a nasty cold can stop Nicole Kidman from getting the job done.

That's the sentiment her Margo's Got Money Troubles costar Nick Offerman shared in a recent interview with PEOPLE when detailing their first day of filming the Apple TV series.

Kidman, who stars in the comedy-drama as a former pro wrestler named Lace, was set to film a scene with Offerman, who plays her former wrestling pal Jinx. The two run into each other at a wrestling Fan Expo that Jinx attends with his daughter Margo (Elle Fanning). Offerman said production had put together a "huge set piece" for the shoot, with "hundreds of extras" on set.

"We're there in the morning, we're getting warmed up — some of us are going to be performing some actual wrestling, and so we have our doubles, we have people we're working with," Offerman said. "And the word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today. And we're like, 'Oh no, that's such a bummer, because we only have the one day that we've built this whole circus for.'"

The Parks and Recreation star said after first hearing around 8 a.m. that Kidman might not make it, a few hours later the Babygirl actress showed up, despite being "so sick" and appearing "so pale, shaken."

"She just had the flu really so bad," Offerman recalled, adding that "she showed up and made sure that we got every shot of her, total superhero style, did everything we needed to so that we did not lose one scrap of what we needed for her character."

Kidman ended the day by being "taken to the hospital for an IV," according to Offerman.

"I just said to her, I already admired you so much, but this is how you get to be Nicole Kidman, is you show up so that your show doesn't lose a minute of your value," he said. "It was so generous. It was astonishing."

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to Kidman's team for comment.
