Patrick Muldoon's final Instagram post indicates that his death was sudden.

Two days before the *Days of Our Lives** *actor died Sunday at 57, Muldoon posted on social media about *Kockroach*, an upcoming movie where he would be serving as an executive producer. "So excited to be a part of this amazing project KOCKROACH directed by Matt Ross starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Edgerton, Zazzie Beetz And Alec Baldwin," he posted on Friday.

Muldoon added that production for the film adaptation of William Lashner's novel of the same name was underway in Australia.**

A separate Instagram post shared a week before featured Muldoon and his loved ones involved in a "Family Table Jam." The video was from Easter and featured the actor strumming the guitar while his family used utensils, keeping the beat and singing along.**

Details surrounding Muldoon's death were not immediately available. His manager told *Variety** *that the actor died on Sunday. Muldoon's sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told TMZ that he was found unconscious in the shower in a bathroom of his Beverly Hills home.

The actor had coffee with his girlfriend, per Muldoon-Zappa, and then went to shower on Sunday morning. Muldoon's girlfriend discovered him on the floor of the bathroom when she went to check on him.**

Muldoon's first role was a two-episode stint in 1990 on *Who's the Boss?*. Along with *Days of Our Lives*, *Starship Troopers*, and *Melrose Place*, Muldoon is known for *Saved by the Bell*, *The Comeback Trail*, *Deadlock*, *Murder at Hollow Creek*,* *and *Marlowe.*

Previous executive producing roles include *The Dreadful*, *Marlowe*, *The Card Counter*, and *Asking for It*. His final acting role, the crime thriller *Dirty Hands*, is expected to release later this year.

Per *Variety*, Muldoon is survived by his parents. Deanna and Patrick Muldoon, Sr., his sister, his girlfriend, his niece Halo, and nephew Arrow Zappa.
